You asked and we delivered! blu fans submitted their questions via social media to Hollywood actor Stephen Dorff. Many of you wanted to know Jason's thoughts on the future of blu so we had Stephen Dorff go straight to the source! blu founder and president Jason Healy.

Stephen Dorff: Hi there! This is the part of the interview where I'm going to be asking Jason Healy, the founder and president of blu eCigs some interesting questions from you guys out there.

SD: Grace Marino from Naples, Florida. "How did you come up with the name blu?"

Jason Healy: Well Grace, as part of blu not looking like a cigarette, I thought that the best color for the light on the end would be blue, and also that other e-cigs would go to that, so I wanted to be the name, regardless of the brand, "Oh, there's a blu!" And then in technical, didn't want the "E" on the end, because otherwise, how do you own a color? Therefore the b-l-u was born.

SD: Therefore when you see other cigarettes that have copied the blue light, it still does good business for blu. Interesting. Christopher Smith from Salisbury, North Carolina. "How are you going to deal with this ban in California, and what are you going to do when it hits bans in other states?"

JH: Well, I mean, the California one is done and dust. It's a done deal. The big thing that I look at is that it's not going to affect the sales of the product or the expansion of electronic cigarettes, it's unfortunate, but also you have to keep in mind that with county bans, they're a lot easier to roll back once FDA regulations come in, and I think some people would, then a federal regulation.

So, if the FDA regs come out, and they don't, and they're positive, because the reason these counties are doing this is because they're waiting, and they want the FDA to act more quickly. So I don't think that they're a major issue, I don't think we'll see a whole bunch more, and I think some of the will roll back once the FDA regulations come out.

SD: Seth Williams, "Why do these city and county politicians not understand that blu does not smell, create secondhand smoke, waste, or offer a fire hazard like cigarettes do? Therefore, why do they try to place the blu smokers in the same pigeonhole and smoking area as conventional smokers?" It's kind of a similar question.

JH: What people don't realize is that logic and science and fact often don't play any role in political decisions. They're political. Whether it be that pharma-lobbyists are all over them and they've got a campaign coming up; they very rarely, as sad and disappointing as it sounds, make their decisions based on fact or science. They may have the lobbying, they may have people who just don't want to see it, and so they'll make it based on that. But if people are more active and they see that the voters, who eventually vote them in or out, have a large play in it, then they will sway. But their decisions in general are not based on those great facts which he mentioned, which is unfortunate, but that's the way it is.

SD: Heidi Bergan. It doesn't say where Heidi's from but, OK. "I feel that blu will be able to help traditional cig smokers like myself actually be able to quit. Do you think you will be able to present a way to show not only the public, but the government how changing to blu could possibly be just as beneficial as starting a nicotine patch or gum? For me personally it's not just the nicotine that's addicting but the fact that my hands are busy." Which I completely agree with!

JH: Well first of all, we are not a quitting device, a cessation device. Legally that is gums and patches only. But again, I think they do see it. Now there's some people who just have an ideological issue with smoking regardless of what form it comes in. But what people have got to realize is that nicotine is not the devil here, it's the delivery device, and cigarettes are a terrible delivery device in terms of health. Now I think that with regulations, views and so on will change, but there's always going to be people who have grown up through the years of tobacco that just hate smoking and you will never change their opinion. But I think that the good side is becoming more and more to the forefront and outweighing those people.
